Power BI & R Dashboards
The aim of this project is to analyze the performance of Hollywood movies, focusing on a dataset of films released between 2007 and 2012, using R for exploratory data analysis and Power BI for visualization.
Utilizing a rich dataset from InformationIsBeautiful.net, this project examines Hollywood movies released between 2007 and 2012, covering key performance indicators like genre, studio, profitability, and ratings to uncover the factors behind a movie's success.
The analysis employs R for exploratory data analysis to understand underlying patterns and trends, and Power BI for creating interactive visualizations that offer insightful views into the movie industry's performance metrics over the selected years.
A structured methodology involving initial data exploration, quality checks, and cleaning ensures the integrity of the analysis. Tools like the `tidyverse` suite in R streamline this process, setting a solid foundation for the subsequent in-depth analysis.
Interactive dashboards developed in Power BI and Flexboard for R highlight crucial insights such as genre popularity, profitability trends, and studio performance. These tools enable dynamic exploration of the data, making complex patterns easily understandable.
